Introduction

The Cairo Tower was built during the era of President Gamal Abdel Nasser and it cost 6 million Egyptian pounds to build. The Cairo Tower was renovated in a work that lasted for about two years from 2006 until 2008 by the Egyptian Arab Contractors Company. The process of restoration and repair cost about 15 million pounds, which includes the treatment and restoration of the tower’s concrete and the addition of 3 floors of metal structures below the tower, which is in the body of the tower and another floor above the main entrance The construction of an emergency staircase and an elevator for visitors, the development of the entrance to the tower, the finishing of the facades of the tower and the addition of new external lighting.
